OPEN CALLS

Scope of Work

We are looking for projects engaging with perception, tension, and authenticity — primarily documentary, psychological, or philosophical in nature.

Free Submission

If selected, a contribution fee is required to support the production of the printed UNSTAGED Journal. Artists retain full copyright. By submitting, you grant us the right to publish selected works in print and online. There are two submission paths:

• Current: Open Call for upcoming issues. No fixed theme

• Curated: Karla Guerrero — “Eerie: Poetics of Phantasmagoria” / Deadline: 20 April, 2026.

Submission Path 

Please state in your description whether your work is submitted to the Current open call or the Curated call (guest-led). Both paths lead to publication in the printed UNSTAGED Journal.

If Selected

Artists will receive:

  • Access to a digital flipbook version of the journal
  • Tearsheets of the featured pages from the printed edition
  • Exposure on UNSTAGED’s social media channels

The following contribution fees apply:

€20 — Standard
A curated selection of your images, typically across 1–2 pages.

€30 — Extended
An expanded presentation of your work, typically across 3 or more pages.

How to Submit

To submit your work, please complete the submission form on this page.

Image Guidelines:

  • Images must be in JPG format
  • Longer edge: 2000 px
  • File naming format: Name_Surname_Title
  • You may submit up to 10 images (series-based submissions are preferred, but single images are accepted).
